This series of mixed media pieces, drawings and prints explores the complex and mysterious notion of the human heart. Still life arrangements of everyday objects are configured to represent a dense core of memories and symbols and function as a reflection on the push-pull of the past vs. the present. The mixed media pieces incorporate writing and reference the layered, textured, urban environment in the use of materials.
